Behind the Music

Moni Grindhard Montana is an artist from Memphis, Tennessee living in her passion and purpose, "Music."  Growing up, Moni Grindhard Montana dealt with anger issues. Which she eventually had to take anger management classes after being kicked out/ expelled from several school. She was raised in a single parent household and dealt with everyday problems that life hands us.  As an outlet for her anger, she began to write poetry.  Writing down her feelings was therapeutic for her.  Listeners who heard her poems, encouraged her to add her lyrics over a beat.  "The first time I heard my rhymes over a music composition, is a moment I'll never forget," states the artist.  From that moment, Moni Grindhard Montana never looked back.  Pushing her pen to her pad, the musical journey of Moni Grindhard Montana had just begun.

Musical influences like Lil Wayne, Eminem, Young Dolph and Yo Gotti to name a few, helped her to understand that accomplishing her musical dreams wouldn't be easy but possible.  The artist mentioned above, especially Young Dolph & Yo Gotti, who is from her hometown, had built their own platform, gave back to others, and helped put other artists on.  Moni Grindhard Montana was determined to do the same.  She began to spend countless hours in the studio perfecting her craft.  In 2014, Moni Grandhard Montana released her 1st single titled "Road to Riches."  She later followed up with a full mixtape project named after her 1st single, which is available via Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/moni-grind-hard-montana.  After trial and error, in 2016, Moni Grindhard Montana released a new single titled "Struggle" which is available on all major music streaming platforms.

Moni Grindhard Montana is living by her favorite quote, "Dream as if you will live forever, live as if you will die today."  Living her best life, she has performed and worked with artists like Moneybagg Yo, Trina, Finess2Tymes and Project Pat to name a few.  Looking to provide financial freedom and longevity for her and her family, Moni Grindhard Montana started her own clothing line and record label and is working on a new single featuring Project Pat titled “Still.”  Her Album #RIIR3 has made major milestones for the artist having her song titled “AoK” placed on multiple playlist on Spotify and hitting over 60,000 plays and counting on that platform it self.
